8 Months!

Put in me in coach...I'm ready!!
Well, we did our best to cheer the Minnesota Vikings on, but apparently our support wasn't enough. Good thing Charlie looked cute during the game!!

A continued favorite activity around here is tub time! Stella undresses in lightning fast speed in order to hop in with her little brother. She tries to teach him about not splashing as he kicks and kicks and tries to drink up all the water.

Our "little" baby boy isn't so little...he eats everything put in front of him and is gaining weight like a champ! I have him at 20 pounds on our scale at home...we'll see what the MD says next month at his 9 month check up.

This weekend Charlie and I have had some extra time to bond as Nick and Stella headed north to Cleveland for business meetings and playtime with cousins. Stella is apparently ready for 6th grade as she joined her cousin Tom for lunch. Tom said she's a "chick magnet" as all the girls were curious about who the cute little girl was who was eating with him. She also visited Mike and went through the lunch line with him, carrying her own tray and picking her own food. She's having so much fun that she hasn't really be interested in talking to me on the phone. That's ok with me though...I'm glad to know that they're having fun.

New Years +...

We spent an obviously "fabulous" New Year's Eve at home, celebrating with Grandpa Robert and Judie. Stella was definitely the best dressed of all of us!

Since New Year's, it's been especially cold...so what do we do? Cook, eat, play in the snow, learn to crawl, try to stand, get sick, get better, and on and on and on!

Yum, smoothie!

Even better, brownies!!

Time to burn off those calories, playing in the snow!!!

Warming up with hot chocolate and tub time!

Check out what I can do now!!!

I'm officially on the move, and am just getting faster and faster!

Even though White Christmas is one of my favorite movies...I still prefer palm trees!

We're back from an extended stay in Palm Springs, CA! There was lots of time outside, golf, swimming, meals, walks, games, laughs, airport mishaps, gifts, and great family time. Of course, we're glad to be home, but loved every moment of our visit!

**updates: Charlie has 2 teeth coming in! Both bottom, center teeth emerged on Christmas Day. He's babbling more and more and has really enjoyed repeating "da-da, da-da, da-da"...music to Nick's ears! ;) He's so close to crawling, we kind of can't believe he hasn't really done it yet. He's sufficient at scooting backwards, can sit up on his own, can rock back and forth, but really isn't sure about how to move forward just yet. Immobility is still fine with me. Soon enough he'll be chasing after his big sister.

Dinner at the club!

Golf cart rides are definitely one of the greatest forms of entertainment...no matter what age!
