5 months old and a second date!!

Our sweet Stella was 5 months old as of Saturday, the 21st! Where has the time gone!? She has spent the past month getting more and more smiley; she desperately wants to sit and stand-up on her own and if she had her way, I'm pretty sure she'd get up and run if she could. She is a constant delight. We've got a great routine going...we rarely hear from her between the hours of 8pm and 7am. She loves to play outside, especially laying in the shade under the trees. The next big thing...starting solid food! (for those of you who don't have babies, that just means a tiny bit of rice cereal mixed with milk...almost totally liquid, but it is served on a spoon!) The plan was to do that today, but we have no groceries in the house, so the big day will probably be tomorrow...Nick is planning on capturing it all on video! We'll see how that goes.

Now, onto the date...
Stella met Henry back in May at the tail end of our 10 day road trip (see blog entry from Saturday, May 19th). Even though we were weary from our travels, she still managed to look and behave her best. It must have paid off, because we were invited to meet up with Henry and his mom and dad and his grandma and grandpa for a weekend get together at the lake! It was a quick trip, but a wonderful one! We arrived Saturday afternoon at the Beckman's home on Hidden Valley Lake. We spent time in the sun on the dock, layed in the shade on the hammock, ate wonderful meals, water skied and wake boarded, relaxed in the hot tub, and oohed and aahed over the babies.

This is where we got to play all weekend!
