What Were We Waiting For?!

I'm writing this during the first REAL snow of the season. I'm pretty sure 3-4 inches have fallen since we woke up this morning and since we don't have anywhere we have to go today, it really is pretty to watch. If only it were warmer than 17 degrees, then we'd go out to play in it.

As we enjoy this winter wonderland, we are home-bound and that leads to boredom and a little bit of cabin fever from time to time...thank goodness for Stella's gift from Grandma and Grandpa Freeman that she got for her 1st birthday that we finally opened up last week...what were we waiting for!?
The "new chicken" is a hit. Stella is cooking up a storm and is more than happy to serve me pizza in a bowl with a spoon--her recipe, not mine. She often reminds me that my food is a little hot and that I need to wait and blow on it.

This is what happens when I tell her to smile and say, "cheese."

We also had the pleasure of entertaining a couple of visitors last weekend. Nick's dad and his friend, Judie came to stay with us to enjoy some quality "Stella time."

Sharing her house with Judie!

Next on the agenda...finish getting Stella's 2 year molars...NO FUN! I'm looking forward to having my little girl back once her teeth are in. It's clear she's not enjoying this time because she is not a whole lot of fun. Hopefully it passes quickly. Teething during the baby years was much easier than this!
This coming weekend we're excited to welcome Aunt Kerry, Uncle Kai, Max, Mason, Ellen and new dog Coco (not ours) for a visit!!! Hopefully we'll get lots of fun photos to share!
