Life In Color

I have to say, escaping to FL this past weekend was the greatest thing for us on so many levels...the first one being COLOR. I'm really ready for spring and to go somewhere that flowers were blooming and the sun was shining was a great treat. Even though the temperatures weren't ideal and the winds were blowing, we had a lot of time playing outside (something we've missed around here lately). It was also wonderful because of our time at Grandma and Grandpa Bettcher's house. We practiced swimming and hunting for seashells and starting napping again! Stella must have been so excited about our upcoming trip that she didn't nap on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday last week. Luckily we played so hard outside on Saturday that she crashed that afternoon. Since we've been home, she's sleeping again (thank goodness...I'm not ready to have a nap free lifestyle just yet)!
Stella's first visit beach to the beach ended up with a full submersion in the ocean. She walked right in, off a little drop-off and ended up under water. Nick was close by and we were filled with giggles when we knew she was ok. Now that's a way to be initiated to FL!

We're here!!

Chatting with Grandpa Larry

After a scrumptous dinner at Lazy Flamingo we watched the sunset from the beach on Grandma and Grandpa's swing.

Saturday was BEACH DAY!!!

"Anyone want to share my sandy snack?"

This is the life!

Sunday was a bit overcast and windy, but we still managed to get outside to play!

All dressed up for church at Chapel by the Sea

Bubble blowing with Grandma

An afternoon "mocktail" at Tween Waters Inn down the street. Stella's first taste of mommy's pina colada was "so yummy!"

Post seafood buffet at The Sanctuary! FANTASTIC!

Monday was a bit chilly too, but Grandma and Grandpa's pool is well protected from the wind so Daddy and Stella had to take one more dip in the pool!

Lunch out at RC Otter's before heading home

THANK YOU Grandma and Grandpa for such a wonderful weekend. We are always so thankful for our time together....this time in paradise!

Here's our little fishy in action:
(she's saying that she's trying to "get the noodle")

Now that we're home, I've been to the MD for my 28 week check up. Doctor says that baby looks good. I continue to feel great and am still in disbelief how fast everything is going.
Aunt Kerry and cousin Ellen are driving down from Chagrin Falls to visit us for the day tomorrow and we're VERY EXCITED!
Stella starts swimming lessons with Daddy on Saturday morning. I'm not sure who is more excited. Me, because I get the morning to myself or her because she loves the water so much!?

Looks like you had a beautiful weekend in Captiva as always! Bella and I can't wait to have some "beach time" with you and Stella here in Jacksonville in a few weeks! Hopefully the weather will be sunny and warm!

Love you!
