Another "solo" trip with the kids

Stella, Charlie and I flew to MN (by ourselves) again a little over a week ago for my dear friend, Nikki's wedding. We spent a week with friends and family, while Nick joined us for the weekend. Thank goodness we are blessed with good travelers...I have a surprisingly easy time flying with both of them. Hopefully it continues.
As usual, I was not great about bringing out my camera...most of these photos are from my mom. THANKS MOM!

First night in town...dinner with Great-Grandma, Great-Grandpa, Great Aunt Julie, cousins Laura and Kevin, Mom and Dad. What a welcome!

Our little princess on a lazy pj morning!

Charlie's first haircut!

The bride, Nikki just 3 days before HER big day. Thanks again for making time to see the kids!

We made time for a couple of swims at Great-Grandpa's pool!

Great-Aunt Ann

Charlie absolutely HAD to wear his TWINS onesie while in town!

2009 and 2007....looks like they just keep having more and more fun.
We LOVE having the park right across the street from Grandma and Grandpa's house!

Labor Day in Vermilion

First experience with a life jacket on. He liked it just about as much as Stella did...meaning not very much at all!

Cousin Max with our filthy little beach babe. She LOVED playing in the sand! We can't wait to go back!

As if it wasn't obvious enough, we spent Labor Day in Vermilion, Ohio on Lake Erie with family and friends. We enjoyed boat rides and LOTS of beach time. Nick and I even had a date night out while Grandma and Grandpa got some quality time with their grandchildren. We enjoyed the whole weekend outdoors. It was wonderful!

As for what else we're up to...hmmm....Stella is officially potty trained. Charlie can roll over and had found his toes. Stella started preschool this week and LOVED it. We're headed to MN on Tuesday, for a week, to celebrate a dear friend, Nikki's wedding! We're still up to our eyeballs with house projects. We had 3 rooms painted while we were away last weekend and are thrilled with how they look. We're almost done though and have declared that 2010 be the year that we sit back and just enjoy our home and our family and try to not embark on any big projects. (notice I said, "try") We still love having visitors stay with us and since we have a little guy who sleeps through the night you don't have to worry about babies crying at 2am...he hasn't done that since he was 6 weeks old! It's hard to believe that summer is coming to a close. We are truly beginning to understand what the phrase, "time flies" means. Nick and I will often comment on how we can't believe that we have a 2 1/2 year old and a 3 month old. It's fun, but it really does go by fast!
