Labor Day in Vermilion

First experience with a life jacket on. He liked it just about as much as Stella did...meaning not very much at all!

Cousin Max with our filthy little beach babe. She LOVED playing in the sand! We can't wait to go back!

As if it wasn't obvious enough, we spent Labor Day in Vermilion, Ohio on Lake Erie with family and friends. We enjoyed boat rides and LOTS of beach time. Nick and I even had a date night out while Grandma and Grandpa got some quality time with their grandchildren. We enjoyed the whole weekend outdoors. It was wonderful!

As for what else we're up to...hmmm....Stella is officially potty trained. Charlie can roll over and had found his toes. Stella started preschool this week and LOVED it. We're headed to MN on Tuesday, for a week, to celebrate a dear friend, Nikki's wedding! We're still up to our eyeballs with house projects. We had 3 rooms painted while we were away last weekend and are thrilled with how they look. We're almost done though and have declared that 2010 be the year that we sit back and just enjoy our home and our family and try to not embark on any big projects. (notice I said, "try") We still love having visitors stay with us and since we have a little guy who sleeps through the night you don't have to worry about babies crying at 2am...he hasn't done that since he was 6 weeks old! It's hard to believe that summer is coming to a close. We are truly beginning to understand what the phrase, "time flies" means. Nick and I will often comment on how we can't believe that we have a 2 1/2 year old and a 3 month old. It's fun, but it really does go by fast!
