A Preview of Spring

WELCOME TO THE BOUGAINVILLEA HOUSE
ON CAPTIVA ISLAND, FLORIDA!

Our first day was a little windy and grey, but still warm enough to play outside!

On our first full day, we got to dine at the famous Bubble Room...although the kids had a good time and enjoyed their meals, Stella couldn't really understand why there weren't any actual bubbles being blown? Good question!

Time to fish with Grandpa! They caught one!

Our second day was full of rain. 3 1/2 inches were measured by Grandma and Grandpa's rain gauge! We filled our time with shopping and movies...the usual rainy day activities!

Stella took this photo of me and Charlie...not bad, huh?

Charlie enjoyed his first taste of ice cream while in FL...chocolate and vanilla!!!

Daddy arrived late Friday night and to welcome him to FL, Stella had him in the pool before 8am on Saturday morning. Oh how our vacations have changed! ;)

Boat ride...faster, faster, faster!

Saturday was perfect...sunny and warm!

The 6 of us residing at The Bougainvillea for the weekend

An attempt at a family photo...watching the sunset

Nothing like a little naked lunch by the pool! What a view!

Our last day we built sandcastles, went swimming, had lunch out, played the ever famous ring game all before we left FL at 2pm!
It was a wonderful trip. We loved our time with Grandma and Grandpa. We had a blast enjoying the fresh air. Stella and Charlie were great travelers and up for lots of adventures. One photo that we didn't get was of Stella in her bunk bed. She declared that she needed to sleep on the top bunk and did so all week long! She's such a big girl! Charlie tried fish and gobbled it up (as well as anything else within his reach).
As always, we're glad to be home, getting back into the routine. And, we are SO THANKFUL for Grandma and Grandpa Bettcher and their generosity.

This was a special treat from our boat ride:

We just got back from Sanibel, we go every year. We of course visit Captiva during the week as well. We had lunch at the Mucky Duck and then took our kids pictures in that big obnoxious red chair(we have taken one every year, it is fun to see how the kids have grown). Glad your had a great time with your family.
