Unreal! This has been the most amazing week I've ever known. Stella was born last Wednesday morning and now it's Wednesday again. The time goes by much too fast. Since we've been home we've been showered with love and support and visitors. It's been fantastic!
Grandma and Grandpa Freeman left a couple of days ago...even though Grandma was praying their flight would be delayed or better yet, cancelled! Grandpa Brecht was here too with Judie for a couple of days of quality time with new Grand-daughter, Stella. Our dear friends have been bringing over food and flowers to help lighten our workload in the kitchen....our mailman even baked us a pasta dish! We had our first visit to the pediatrician on Monday and came home with all good reports. Dad has become an expert on bathing, having given Stella her first two baths at home. It's good bonding time for dad and daughter. Today was also the first day that Stella and I were home alone, on our own. Dad went back to work for the first time. It was hard to see him go as we've cherished the time we've had as a new family.
Now we're preparing for the Monahan's visit this weekend! It will be so fun to meet Aunt Kerry and Uncle Kai and the kids!
It's a busy life, but Stella is handling it really well! :)
Our first 7 days have gone really well. Nights are amazingly good...(I'm afraid to say that out loud for fear that I'll jinx the great routine we have). So far, we only get up once a night around 4am. Otherwise we're sleeping! Just like this...
Ok, Stella has informed me that I'm risking boring everyone with all these details...she's ready for her nap! Maybe I'll take one too?!
