Before I get into the presents from today, a quick note on a Father’s Day gift that I opened (accidentally) a couple of days ago. Wednesday night, Liz had her Bible Study dinner out and I was home with Stella. While running out to water the front lawn, I noticed a package on our front porch. In quickly glancing at the return address I saw the word “Toy.” That word along with the fact that Stella has received at least one package every week since she’s been alive made me think that it was for her. So, I opened it up. And, just as I notice a very nice, shiny men’s watch, I slammed the box shut and quickly realized the gift was in fact not for Stella. OOPS! I felt HORRIBLE and told Liz immediately when she got home. Lucky for me she didn't mind and I got to wear my new watch (made by "ToyWatch") to work the next day.
Anyway, back to today…I got some very nice cards from friends and family, including one from Stella. The big surprise was a large, framed, black & white print of Liz and Stella that I LOVE! Apparently, Liz had our friend Erin over recently to be the photographer for a little “Liz & Stella” photo shoot. The first picture below is the print I got, but I’ve also included a couple of my other favorites. Great work Erin! After gifts for me, and a nap and feeding for Stella, it was off to the pool. It was a beautiful day here in Cincy to be poolside. After lunch I told the girls I was going to the driving range. Then I came back to enjoy the afternoon watching the U.S. Open with my two favorite ladies, ordered sushi in, gave Stella her bath and here we are winding down the day.
Liz & Stella, thanks for making my first Father’s Day the best one yet!
